Maxxian Announces CounterStryx Tracker Automation™ Availability at CableLabs Winter Conference

Maxxian today announced CounterStryx Tracker Automation™ for automatically correcting problems identified by the CounterStryx Audit and systems. Capabilities include automated disabling, deletion and other actions for improving revenue, system performance and set-top response.

Through work with our customers, Maxxian has found that the same core issues that result in unauthorized set-tops operating on networks make correcting the problems extremely difficult and time consuming.

Development of CounterStryx Tracker Automation included extensive testing on production systems, including the deletion of over half a million obsolete set-tops from addressability systems, and disabling of thousands of unauthorized set-tops. “The results speak for themselves”, say R.J. Juneau, CTO of Maxxian. “We’ve reduced chronic poll time by 60% on our customers’ pilot systems. The set-top shutdown methods we use are more thorough than what we’ve seen from any billing system, and we’re getting more set-tops returning to paying accounts faster than ever before“.

CounterStryx Tracker Automation is available as an option for CounterStryx Operations Center systems, and can be managed across multiple systems through CounterStryx HQX. The product can be used to automate CounterStryx HQX cross-system Tracker queues, including deletion of duplicate set-tops across multiple conditional access systems.
